Competition for acceptance into top business programs is intense. The most recent class profile for the MBA program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business shows that over 8,000 people applied for admission and approximately 400 new students were enrolled. These new students had an average undergraduate GPA of 3.73, a mean GMAT score of 737, and an average of four years of work experience. The largest percentages of new Stanford GSB students came from the investment management, consulting, and technology industries, and a plurality majored in arts and humanities disciplines as undergraduates. International students from 60 countries other than the United States represented about 40% of the new MBA class. With this level of competition, it is more important than ever for applicants to produce high GMAT scores, which greatly increase the odds of acceptance. At Manhattan Review, we advise all of our GMAT clients to set target scores that are above the average for a given program. Exceeding these averages will impress admissions officials and demonstrate the capacity for business study at the graduate level.
Manhattan Review's GMAT prep courses and GMAT private tutoring in Stockholm and other cities around the world consistently produce successful applicants to top business schools. Our GMAT clients have been accepted to the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, the Yale School of Management, Columbia Business School, the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California-Berkeley's Haas School of Business, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and many other world-class programs. Upon completion of business school, Manhattan Review students are consistently hired by Fortune 500 companies, including Berkshire Hathaway, Exxon Mobil, State Farm Insurance, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America.
